About Us

Hi my name is John and I am the creator of this website. This is the first stage of the redesign of teachermatters.com. Over the coming year I plan to add more sections and material to the site and I am always looking for new and exciting resources, so if you would like to submit a resource please use the form in the Contact Us section.

The idea of creating a central repository focusing on Classroom Management and Discipline started back when I was undertaking a Bachelor of Education (1991-1994). In 1994 I was introduced to Mosiac, the first browser that wasn't just text based, I was taken with how much images enhanced the experience. This is when I started thinking about creating a website containing key information that would assist me in managing my classroom. Move forward 17 years and I am still teaching, and still passionate about the notion of Teacher Matters.

In today's classroom, teachers have a lot of issues to deal with, so my goal is to simply provide teachers with practical down-to-earth solutions and support.
